"The Wait" (Movie Review)
We recently watched #TheWait (2021), a Nigerian faith based drama directed by Yemi Morafa and Fiyin Gambo. The film starred Nse Ikpe-Etim, Deyemi Okanlawon, Ini Dima-Okojie and Jimmy Odukoya in the lead roles. The movie is based on God's Waiting Room, a faith based book written by Yewande Zaccheaus As we watched this movie, we were reminded that; ✅ Sometimes the answers to our prayers don't come in the way we envisaged. This does not mean that God did not answer our prayers but that, "God's ways are not OUR ways". The couples in the movie had been looking unto God for children and God answered them all in DIFFERENT ways, it didn't come in the ways they all planned it would. (Adoption, Surrogate, IVF etc) It was until they came to a place of ACCEPTANCE and PEACE of their current situation that they could hear God on the next steps to take to receive their blessings.
