JESUS! WAKE UP!!! Series (Part 1)

Have you ever been so terrified and anxious? Perhaps your kitchen was on fire and the only person that could help you put it out was sleeping in the room next to the kitchen, sound asleep like the baby in the sticker below😁😁 .

 Today's post is titled "Jesus! Wake up!!!"

Bible Text :

Then he got in the boat, his disciples with him. The next thing they knew, they were in a severe storm. Waves were crashing into the boat—and he was sound asleep! They roused him, pleading, “Master, save us! We’re going down!” Jesus reprimanded them. “Why are you such cowards, such faint-hearts?” Then he stood up and told the wind to be silent, the sea to quiet down: “Silence!” The sea became smooth as glass. The men rubbed their eyes, astonished. “What’s going on here? Wind and sea come to heel at his command!”

The disciples were on their way to another town and then suddenly a storm arose that scared the wit out of them. 

However, something interesting happened, Jesus was on the boat with them when the storm started, yet He was not disturbed, in fact, he was fast asleep. 

How could He sleep in the middle of a storm? The sea water had to have entered the boat where he laid! 

Jesus had to be wet! Yet He was sleeping. 

The winds blew angrily, the clouds shrieked with fierce thunder, the waves became the steering wheel of the boat, the disciples were scared to death. 

"Is this how I'll eventually die?! " Peter, who usually spoke first and thought second shouted to his colleagues. 

"No! I can't leave my family this way, I didn't sign up for this!" 

John, who was scared himself tried to calm Peter down, who was now screaming at the top of his lungs, 

"No… No, who would take care of my wife, my mother-in-law? " 

"Jesus is with us, remember?" one of the disciples said assuringly. 

" I still think we won't make it out of here alive,until i see the storm go, i don't believe we'll make it" 

" Oh no! I should have spent that money i was saving, now i won't be able to spend it since I'm going to die" Judas said regretfully as he bit his fingers 

Probably, John was getting scared now,

" Where's Jesus?!" He turned around asking the others. 

"Jesus!" the wind sailed their voices as they shouted His name. 

Finally, they found him in the basement of the boat sound asleep, 

"Jesus! Wake… Wake up!!!" They shouted more audibly this time

And at the sound of their voices calling out His name, Jesus opens His eyes and sees the whole place is filled with water, He is drenched and as He looks into their eyes, He sees that they are scared beyond measure, Immediately, He stands up ready to face what was facing His own.  

" Oh you storm you came to the wrong boat, how dare you disturb my disciples peace " He said

Not smiling at the wind, He looks up, sternly at the sky and in an authoritative voice silences the storm 

"PEACE BE STILL " 

Immediately, Everything is back to normal. 

And then Jesus hugs John and the rest of His disciples and says 

" It's okay , I'm here for you." 

He cleans their panic-striken tears with the back of his palms and hugs them tightly. 

"You should have spoken to the storm, you didn't have faith at all, that's why the storm continued to rage. 

" But it was… " Peter tried to give an excuse

" Come on, You have the power in you to decree and it shall be established " He said to them 

Dear TaiKeh fams, 

Perhaps, 

• About to encounter a storm, 
•  You may be in a storm,
• Coming out of a storm, 

What is important to note is that Jesus is with you in your boat. And yes He is most likely catching some sleep, hahaha. 

But you know what? 

Nothing moves Jesus' sleep, the wind cannot wake Him up, the thunder cannot wake Him up , and the lightning as well dares not

The only voice that Jesus recognizes is yours. 

No matter how faint, stressed out and tired your voice is, Jesus has His ears tuned to your voice. 

All you have to do is run to Him and say "Jesus!!! Wake up!!" 

Jeremiah 33: 3 says, 

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

With faith as small as a mustard seed, you can speak to every stormy situation in your life. 

" PEACE BE STILL" 

So what are you waiting for?

Go wake Jesus up! 

Remember your voice is the key
