JESUS! WAKE UP !!! (Part 6) - THEY THOUGHT WRONG

Welcome to part 6 of Jesus! Wake Up!!! Series

Bible Text :

They landed in the country of the Gadarenes and were met by two madmen, victims of demons, coming out of the cemetery. The men had terrorized the region for so long that no one considered it safe to walk down that stretch of road anymore. Seeing Jesus, the madmen screamed out, “What business do you have giving us a hard time? You’re the Son of God! You weren’t supposed to show up here yet!” Off in the distance a herd of pigs was browsing and rooting. The evil spirits begged Jesus, “If you kick us out of these men, let us live in the pigs.” Jesus said, “Go ahead, but get out of here!” Crazed, the pigs stampeded over a cliff into the sea and drowned. Scared to death, the swineherds bolted. They told everyone back in town what had happened to the madmen and the pigs. Those who heard about it were angry about the drowned pigs. A mob formed and demanded that Jesus get out and not come back

In the part 5 of this series, we discussed on the need to invite Jesus into our lives, because a life without Christ is full of crisis!

Today, we shall be expanding more on the sub-topic, THEY THOUGHT WRONG! 

According to the Bible text above, the demons told Jesus that He wasn't supposed to show up there! They were so surprised to see Him at that time, they assumed He wouldn't be able to survive the storm!

 But, they thought wrong. 

Isn't it weird that the demons tried to organize or arrange an unfavorable weather condition for the One who made the weather? 

Did they think that the creation could stop the Creator? 

They thought the All-knowing, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient God would not be able to survive a storm! 

Oh how He laughed at them in derision! (Psalms 2:4)

They thought the One who created the eyes, nose and ears would not see, smell and hear them as they conspired against Him. 

(Psalms 94:9)

What can be hidden before the Light of The World, even the night is like light before Him! (Psalms 139:12)

Hey fam! Yes you, 

The devil thought sickness could stop you from fulfilling your purpose but they thought wrong!

Just like the devil sent all manner of afflictions to Job but God saw him through! Job came out stronger and better! 

They thought delaying your admission to college would stop you from being a graduate but they thought wrong!

They thought causing you to be abused as a child would reduce your low self-esteem and make you live in fear but they thought wrong! 

By the grace of God, you've experienced the love of God so deeply that you're using your "battle scars" to draw others to Christ,

They thought making you unemployed would put you in a state of financial instability and make you live in penury but they thought wrong! 

This is because they forgot that the God who put money in the mouth of a fish can also provide for you in abundance,

They thought that if they take your father/mother away from you, you would end up amounting to nothing, but they thought wrong! 

You came into contact with the Father of all Fathers, who sets the solitary in families! 

They thought that putting you in prison would lock up your destiny for good, but they thought wrong! 

You found liberty in Christ!

They thought closing your womb would make you turn away from God, but they thought wrong! 

The God of Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth and the Shunamite woman is still alive! 

They thought COVID-19 would take you away from God, but they thought wrong! 

It only made you draw closer to Jesus!

In conclusion, the devil will try to bring all manners of storms your way, he has never been your friend from the beginning, but God is with you, for you and in you! (1 John 4:4)

To Him be all the Glory! Hallelujah!
