Obedience

Hello TK Fams!!! 

By the grace of God, We thought to share with you a word, Its a word that caught our attention during the course of last week.

The word is OBEDIENCE to God.

We were watching a movie on YouTube (a Nigerian movie titled Abejoye) and in it God had warned the Protagonist not to be angry with anyone but to remain calm even when abused, insulted. The day came when his opposition came to visit him at home and they were using all manner of words to provoke him and unfortunately, he got angry and insulted them back.

When he got angry, his opponents were so happy because they had found a weakness in Him - His anger, so through that they were able to inflict him with an illness.

Where are we going with this story? You may ask.

We  learnt that when God gives an instruction, Like when He tells you and i to do something by laying it in our hearts: It could be to write a book, or show acts of kindness to your neighbor, to help a stranger- It could be anything.

What is required of us is to OBEY without hesitation, without doubting or allowing our flesh to rule us.

We don't know what God is leading you to do in this season but we want to encourage you to obey Him without thinking twice.

There are a lot of benefits attached to obeying God. God always honors, blesses and rewards the people that obey Him. 

A perfect example is Jesus, because He obeyed God by coming to die for our sins, God exalted Him and gave Him a Name above all names - A name that you can beckon on at any time and it will save you.

A name that has a record of Saving , Healing, Delivering, Restoring People and also causing demons to tremble.

All because He obeyed! 

Because of His obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father.

Yes, sometimes its not easy obeying, but we have the greatest gift we could ever ask for and it's Jesus. Anytime you feel sad and disappointed , Jesus is nearest to you and ever ready to listen to you and by so doing He will give you the peace, grace and strength to do what is needed to do. 

We pray that God will give you the grace to always obey Him in everything you do in Jesus Name. Amen
