THE INTERVIEW WITH GOD - (GRANDE FINALE- EP5)

Kehinde: Welcome back to today’s episode on The Interview With God,  If you are joining us for the first time, we implore you to read the preceding episodes here

Taiye: Today is the grand finale, and we have some interesting news to share with you! but before we do that, Boj you have the floor, Over to you.

Boj: God, I disregarded the story of Daniel in the lion’s den, I thought it was fictitious, I failed to realize that Daniel was courageous when everyone was afraid, He remained unshaken in his faith.

He prayed when everyone had stopped praying,

No wonder You stepped into the den with him, On the other hand, I lacked the tenacity to stand by You,

I am like Peter who promised never to betray You, yet when push came to shove, denied You, not once, twice but thrice! That’s exactly me!

God, to be honest, I have been dishonest with You, I questioned your command to preach the gospel to mankind not because I couldn’t preach but… because I was angry at you.

I witnessed how You always forgave my enemies, whom I had personally concluded that their names could never be in the book of life,

I wondered how you could be so merciful to people who did all manner of wickedness,

I saw how you gave them a new slate whenever they came running back to you and I ask myself, “Why would a good God  accept man so bad?”

That is why I imitate Jonah who ran away from your instruction to preach to the people of Nineveh. I refused to do anything that has to do with preaching about you to my friends, co-workers, and family members, because in my mind I think, ‘they don’t deserve You’

I am like the elder brother of the prodigal son who was on his way back home from work, strode into the party, that his father had organized for his brother, went to confront his father.

“Why did you accept him back? Why would you even throw a party for Him? Come to think of it, how come You never threw a party for me?”

I am like the people of old who refused to accept Saul of Tarsus,

They thought, “Saul cannot possibly make heaven after all he has done! Saul and I can not be in heaven”

I thought I was holier than the Holiest,

 I actually forgot that:

I was once like the prodigal son, the people of Nineveh, and Saul of Tarsus.

Yet you took me in, washed my sins, and made me a brand new person like you did for them.

I AM DEEPLY SORRY!!! I REPENT OF MY ACTIONS.

God: (goes over to Boj and hugs Him) I love You.

AUTHORS' NOTE:

Hello! thank you for following us through this special series of The Interview With God, It’s been amazing reading your comments and hearing how much it blesses you.

The character Boj is a biblical character that had a humorous yet honest way of asking God some hard questions that borders on every Christian mind especially when going through difficult times, if you have ever asked God some hard questions,

Hey, You are not alone. Boj also asked God too!

Boj in The Interview with God is a historical account of a man who actually lived. His story, as we have told, is based on biblical accounts.

Although some of his actions may seem disagreeable to us in this century, we need to consider him in the context of his own time.

This is a work of historical fiction. The outline of the story is provided by the Bible, and we have started with the facts provided for us there. Building on that foundation, we have created questions, dialogue, internal motivations, that we feel are consistent with the biblical record.

We have attempted to remain true to the scriptural message in all points, adding only what is necessary to aid in our understanding of that message.

The ultimate authority on people of the Bible is the Bible itself. We encourage you to read it for greater understanding. And we pray that as you read the Bible, you will become aware of the continuity, the consistency, and the confirmation of God's plan for the ages- a plan that includes you in Jesus' name, Amen.

By now, we know you've been curious to know who Boj really is,

Well he is none other than.......

JOB!

(Yes the same Job in the Bible whose chapter  is before the book of Psalms😁😁)

  3. So very awesome! I was surprised to that Boj was Job. Well done. I love your Historical fiction. You girls are great writers. I used to be. Came from a long line of writers. It is in my DNA, but sadly my fingers will not allow me to write or type. It takes a long time to type something that is why I do not write anymore. God is giving me a rest so I can write for Him. Cannot wait to meet you girls when we are Raptured off the Earth. Anytime now Jesus will be getting us out of here
