SURELY (s)he is THE ONE
''When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord ’s anointed stands here before the Lord .”- 1 Samuel 16:6 NIV
How many times do we assume that something or someone is God's perfect choice or perfect will for us? How many times do we decide for God?
" God must be pleased with this choice" We assume. But what if, God isn't?
We've got to develop the ability to hear God more
Thank God, Samuel could hear God.
(Can you?)
Else, he would have anointed a wrong King(Eliab)
Please let's put an end to basing important decisions on looks and appearances.
' Oh, he's a fervent man/woman of God!
Surely, he is m husband!... Surely, she is my wife!
Oh, (s)he is THE ONE for me!"
Let's tread carefully, let's take our time to process this, Prophet Samuel also thought the eldest sons of Jesse were fit to be the Ones chosen by God, why?
They had six-packs abs, they were 6ft. tall, they could sing melodiously, they could preach and speak mightily in tongues, they could pray for more than 300 hours!
But they were not, it was rather a ruddy, young man, not too short, not too tall either, he didn't have a six-pack ab like his brothers, he couldn't even hold a sword, all he knew how to do was take care of the pastures, he didn't even look like he could be anointed, or the ONE.
There was no similarity between him and God's bucket list of what a King should have or possess.
He was just.. David.
That's all you need to be,. Just McNeil, just Becky, just Sarah, just George, Just ...You

I not need to be like her or him because God created ME to just me
