FAMILY?
Hello Family!
Welcome back to this blog, it's been a minute 😂
Today we shall be talking about Joseph in the Bible, using this Bible verse as our text-
When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father loved Joseph more than he loved them, they hated their brother because of this. They refused to say nice things to him.
Genesis 37:4 ERV
2. So Judah said to his brothers, “What profit will we get if we kill our brother and hide his death? We will profit more if we sell him to these traders. Then we will not be guilty of killing our own brother.” The other brothers agreed.
Genesis 37:26-27 ERV
Now let's dive into Joseph's World- back then, what he would have felt like.
"Brothers don't do this to me, please I beg you all." Joseph pleaded with his brothers profusely. His cries however fell on deaf ears.
And just like that, blood sold blood.Tribe of the same blood/inclination, hated a blood with such great passion.
But why?All because of a fickle emotion of jealousy.
They blamed their father. He loved Joseph more than he loved them.
Perhaps, you resonate with this story,
Maybe you too have been abandoned, sold off, and abused.
We're here to tell you that you are not alone.
The main character in our story is Joseph. He too was abused emotionally, even physically, tossed into a deep pit, that he couldn't come out of.
And just so you know, it wasn't done by outsiders but by his very own blood, and even more painful is that it was done by his elder brothers, those who should have known better.
He used to share his dreams and aspirations with them because he saw them as FAMILY.
Joseph didn't ask to be treated badly. He wanted none of that, but he found himself there.
We imagine him thinking to himself saying, "Why did I even go there in the first place? Why didn't I turn back, when I couldn't find them at first? It's all my fault."
He blamed himself.
Joseph worked for other Masters. He was sold as a slave to worldliness, sexual immorality and all manner of evil but he wasn't serving them.
He decided to keep his head above water, how? He held on to God till the end and God honored him by bringing all His promises to pass in His life.
Dear reader, hold tight onto God and He won't let you down.
In God's Grip,
