THE WIDOW'S DIARY (Part 14)
BIBLE STUDY WITH THE WIDOW SERIES 2
Welcome and thank you for joining me today,
Let's picked up from where we stopped (BIBLE STUDY 1).
I went round with my children to to borrow jugs and bowls from our neighbors as instructed by Prophet Elisha.
We got a lot of positive response and on the other hand, some people refused to lend us their jugs and bowls, we see an example of this in Part 3 in my diary where Pastor Joshua declined lending us his jugs/bowls.
Jesus said, Love your neighbors as yourself, He expects that we hold this commandment dearly!
Matthew 22:39 (KJV) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
If you love your neighbors, you will be willing to lend your jar/ bowls to them.
Your jugs/ bowls can refer to:
- Prayers- When last did you pray for your neighbor?
- Time- When last did you make out time to call, text or visit your neighbor?
- Gifts - When last did you give good gifts to your neighbor?
- Encouragement- When last did you encourage your neighbor going through trying times?
Matthew 25:35-42 (KJV) For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was
in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we
thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and
clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
