The Equalizer

Hello, TaiKeh fams!  Welcome back to TaiKeh World Blog! Our Bible readings  for today are from the books of Exodus 16:17-18, and Matthew 20: 1-12 The People of Israel went to work and started gathering, some more, some less, but when they measured out what they had gathered, those who gathered more had no extra and those who gathered less weren’t short—each person had gathered as much as was needed.    https://my.bible.com/bible/97/EXO.16.17-18 1 “This will help you understand the way heaven’s kingdom operates: “There once was a wealthy landowner who went out at daybreak to hire all the laborers he could find to work in his vineyard.   2 After agreeing to pay them the standard day’s wage, he put them to work.   3 Then at nine o’clock, as he was passing through the town square, he found others standing around without work.   4 He told them, ‘Come and work for me in my vineyard and I’ll pay you a fair wage.’   5 So off they went to join the o...

THE WIDOW'S DIARY (Part 17)

Hello! Welcome back to Bible Study with the Widow Series 5. Today, let's continue on the series, as you read may you be blessed, Amen. When all the jugs and bowls were full, she said to one of her sons, “Another jug, please.” He said, “That’s it. There are no more jugs. Then the oil stopped.  2 Kings 4:5 -6 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/2ki.4.5-6.MSG One interesting thing I learnt about God is, your perception of God’s power will determine the level God will relate with you. If you think God can, He can,  If you don't think God can, He can't. The oil continued to flow until all the jars were finished and full, Prophet Elijah did not go about borrowing jars for my sons and I when the jars were finished,  the oil stopped. What it simply means is that, God will work with what you surrender to Him, He won't force you, He is a perfect gentleman. The jars here signifies different areas of our lives- finances, academic, marriage, parenting, career and many more. Have yo...

THE WIDOW'S DIARY (PART 16)

Hello and welcome back to Bible study With the Widow series 4! Today, let's unpack some nuggets from this Bible verse,  She did what he said. She locked the door behind her and her sons; as they brought the containers to her, she filled them. When all the jugs and bowls were full, she said to one of her sons, “Another jug, please.” He said, “That’s it. There are no more jugs.” Then the oil stopped. 2 Kings 4:5 -6 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/2ki.4.5-6.MSG   To begin with, I swell with so much pride and gratitude to God for my children! They were of immense help and succor to me, especially during my trying time, they were the ones that encouraged me to obey the instructions of the prophet which at the time seemed ridiculous to me. To be honest, it was not a one-day affair, they did not just wake up one fine morning and decided to love and serve God, No, my husband and I spent time to INTENTIONALLY and DELIBERATELY train them up in the way of the Lord.  ...

THE WIDOW'S DIARY (Part 15)

Hello and welcome back to Bible study with the widow series 3! Today we shall dig deeper into the instructions that was given to me by the Prophet Elisha.  Firstly, Prophet Elisha asked me what I had in my hand. Thankfully, I had a jar of oil left and he instructed me to do the following: "...  Then come home and lock the door behind you, you and your sons. Pour oil into each container; when each is full, set it aside.”   2 Kings 4:4 MSG     https://bible.com/bible/97/2ki.4.4.MSG Prophet Elisha told me that after the jars have been collected, my sons and I should go into our house to shut, bolt, lock, put an iron or metal behind the door to prevent entry.  Why go through the hassle of going up and down , looking up for jars? Also, we did not quite understand why we had to be alone to pour the oil, personally I just thought that it was to prevent our neighbors from seeing what we were doing with their barrels. It was in the process of pouring oil into t...

THE WIDOW'S DIARY (Part 14)

BIBLE STUDY WITH THE WIDOW SERIES 2 Welcome and thank you for joining me today,  Let's picked up from where we stopped (BIBLE STUDY 1). I went round with my children to to borrow jugs and bowls from our neighbors as instructed by Prophet Elisha. We got a lot of positive response and on the other hand, some people refused to lend us their jugs and bowls, we see an example of this in Part 3 in   my diary where Pastor Joshua declined lending us his jugs/bowls. Jesus said, Love your neighbors as yourself, He expects that we hold this commandment dearly!  Matthew 22:39 (KJV)     And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. If you love your neighbors, you will be willing to lend your jar/ bowls to them. Your jugs/ bowls can refer to:         Prayers- When last did you pray for your neighbor? Time- When last did you make out time to call, text or visit your neighbor? Gifts - When last did you give go...

THE WIDOW'S DIARY (Part 13)

BIBLE STUDY WITH THE WIDOW Hello Fam! Welcome to another segment of Bible Study with The Widow . I would love to take you on another journey. This time, I would be sharing great nuggets from my life story in the bible. (2Kings 4:1-7) Please walk with me,   One day the wife of a man from the guild of prophets called out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead. You well know what a good man he was, devoted to God . And now the man to whom he was in debt is on his way to collect by taking my two children as slaves.”   2 Kings 4:1 MSG  https://bible.com/bible/97/2ki.4.1.MSG Firstly, My late husband was godly, devoted to God, he  was anointed, appointed and every "ted" but he was in debts even to his death.  Did that mean that God didn't love him or didn't care about him?  No, Jesus said that, in this world we would have tribulations but we should be of good cheer, why? Because He has overcome the world,  This goes without saying, " Knowing and serving ...

And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.   Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. This greatly affected my health and that of my children.  But now I looked around me, foods...

I was wondering why God would want to take us back to the place He knew very well was not safe at all and not just that, He wanted to take us there so quickly that He brought us a free ride. I was confused. When people mentioned that God was mysterious, now I knew the reason. My ways are not your ways. Then the least you can do is give me some details of your ways. I responded  I was done being a zombie, imagine me obeying everything He tells me to do without even giving it a second thought, I would rather be ali...

Please help us. Where do we go to from here? Obviously not to Pastor Joshua's house.  Who knows he may be offering his house as tithe to God too. Whew!  My fears and worries were heightened at this point, I was desperate for an answer from God but He was quiet.  " Seriously God, I dislike it when you are quiet like this" I said o...
